Sarah most recently directed The Drowning Girls by Beth Graham, Charlie Tomlinson and Daniela Vlaskalic as part of the University of Missouri's featured Women's History Month programming and MU Theatre's 2017-2018 "Theatre Makes a Difference" mainstage season. In this morbidly funny play, three women rise from watery graves to prosecute their murderer. Based on the true story of one of England’s most notorious serial murderers, the audience becomes judge and jury in the trial, as violence against women then echoes to now. Shocking and delightful, it will take your breath away.
The sold-out run was the premiere production in MU Theatre's new Studio 4 black box space. The play was followed by an audience talkback that featured a rotating panel of guests from MU's Office of Civil Rights and Title IX, the Relationship and Sexual Violence Prevention Center, the Counseling Center, the Behavioral Health division of the Student Health Center, and the Troubling Violence Performance Project, as well as members of the cast.
